Leave the Maze Behind
with the Coordinated Entry System
Simplifying the process of finding safe, affordable housing for survivors of domestic or dating violence, stalking, sexual assault or human trafficking is important. Indiana’s Coordinated Entry System (CES) provides a straightforward way for providers to help survivors navigate the system and find housing help.
Coordinated Entry in Indiana
Moving from a project-focused system to a person-focused system, CES shifts the focus for Continuum of Care. The person-focused system avoids excluding someone because they don’t exactly match the criteria of a specific program or service. The shift in focus encourages assessing the person’s situation to prioritize their immediate and long-term needs, while matching them with the best fit, regardless of how or where they sought help, the order in which they requested help or the admission criteria for specific projects.
