Sexual Violence Prevention Learning Opportunities

Are you interested in sexual violence prevention learning opportunities during social distancing?

Visit the Indiana Abuse Prevention Disability Task Force webinar series channel to find 12 webinars focused on disability justice and sexual violence primary prevention. Created by people with disabilities for practitioners and advocates, the webinars create a foundation by contextualizing sexual violence and disability in an Indiana specific history to illustrate the need for sexual violence primary prevention strategies.

The series then examines current issues facing people with disabilities today, including mental health, guardianship, self-advocacy, social inclusion, sexual health education, sexual consent, and more.

Recent webinars share the resources created by the task force over the last two years, including risk factor one-pagers based on a disability-specific risk and protective factor literature review and an analysis of the gaps in services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Indiana.

To request a certificate of participation after you watch a webinar, you can email Cierra Olivia Thomas Williams at cwilliams@inagainstda.com and you can contact the task force at large at the following email address INdisabilityjustice@gmail.com.
